ISDN NETWORK TERMINATION
We manufacture Network Termination (SM NT1-BRA) for
connecting digital voice and data equipment to the
ISDN network. Our NT1 model is desktop and wall mountable
and also TEC Type approved.
Our NT1 model is compatible with any Central Office
that supports the ETSI standard 2B1Q U-interface,
and are also compatible with both National and Custom
ISDN standards.
The Network Termination-1 (NT-1) unit is meant for
ISDN basic rate and leased line access. It represents
the link between the exchange side (U-Interface) and
the subscriber side (S- Interface). The U-Interface
establishes the direct link between exchange and terminal
over two copper wires. The digital bits are transmitted
at the rate of 160 Kbit/s, providing two 64 Kbps channels
(voice or data). Out of the rest 32Kbps, 16 Kbps are
used for controlling of transmission and the remaining
16 kbps are used for maintenance and synchronization
information.
KEY FEATURES
- 2 status indicator lights
- Remote feeding power available and is indicated
by a green LED "Line"
- Normal operation from AC mains is indicated by means
of an Amber LED "Mains".
- Power Supply included
In normal mode, the S-Bus feeding voltage is provided
by an AC/DC converter integrated in the unit and up
to 4 of TE's may be supplied with power by the NT-1
(Max 1W each). Additional TE's needs their own supply.
The power is taken from 230V mains. If the mains voltage
fails or falls below 190 Volts, the unit automatically
switches over to restricted mode operation. In this
mode only one designated TE may be supplied max. 380
mw, and power is taken by remote feeding from the
network. Normal operation from AC mains is indicated
by means of an Amber LED "mains".
The NT1 must be installed near a readily accessible
network socket. If terminals shall be powered by the
NT-1, also a 230V mains socket is needed. A line cable
and S-interface cable with a length of about 2-meter
with RJ-45 connector are provided along with the NT-1.
The mains cord RJ-45 with a length of about 2-meter
is in built with the NT1. If all terminals have their
own power supply, or if only one designated terminal
shall be powered in restricted power mode, then no
connection to mains is needed.
